PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this March 18, 2020.

The latest update from the bureau states that amihan or the northeast monsoon will be affecting northern Luzon, while the rest of the country will be affected by the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
According to GMA News, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorm over Caraga and Davao region. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during heavy rains.
Meanwhile, amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains overIlocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, the northern and eastern sections of the country will have moderate winds moving in the northeast to east direction with moderate coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds moving in the eastern to northeastern direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
