Baliwag, Bulacan Mayor Tests Positive for 2019 Novel Coronavirus

BULACAN MAYOR – Baliwag Mayor Ferdie Estrella confirmed that he tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19.

Currently, everyone is on the watch for coronavirus cases in the Philippines. In the last few days, there is an increasing momentum of the positive cases.

The Department of Health (DOH) recently released an update announcing that it confirmed 45 new cases of coronavirus in the country. The total confirmed COVID-19 cases now is 187.

The whole of Luzon is currently under an “enhanced community quarantine”. Everyone is asked to stay at home and even businesses are requested to cooperate and help in whatever way they can.

Recently, another politician tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus amid the fight. Baliwag, Bulacan Mayor Ferdie Estrella announced that he is positive for COVID-19 but assured his constituents that he will make sure of their safety despite being under treatment.

On his Facebook page, Mayor Estrella broke the news through a lengthy post. He stressed that his people deserves to know his condition. He also emphasized his message to everyone – to stay at home regardless of age, gender, and status in life.

The Bulacan Mayor also encourage the people to follow the directive of the government for their safety. Here’s his Facebook post:
