Taguig Records 3 New Cases of 2019 Novel Coronavirus

TAGUIG – The local government unit (LGU) confirmed three (3) new cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Several cities in Luzon region have recorded cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Undeniably, the Philippines is now faced with a very huge challenge over COVID-19.

Currently, the total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country is 140. A total of twelve (12) death cases due to the said disease were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH).

Aside from the DOH, local government units were also quick to inform the public about the updates on coronavirus cases in their respective areas. Recently, Taguig confirmed three (3) new cases of COVID-19.

Based on a report on Manila Bulletin, there are now four (4) patients of coronavirus in the city following the recent addition of three (3) patients. They are now isolated and given medical treatment.

According to the report, the DOH and the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CEDSU) are pursuing tracing activities on those people that COVID-19 patients had a contact with.

Currently, the whole of Metro Manila is under a “community quarantine” to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The said disease has held several countries abroad under an outbreak – China, Italy, and South Korea being among these nations.

Globally, the infected cases has reached 170,000. The death cases in several countries affected by COVID-19 has totaled to over 6,500 deaths as of this writing as to Worldometer.
