Authorities Looking For Cebu School Executive For Fleeing Checkup
CEBU SCHOOL EXECUTIVE SECRETARY – Authorities have begun searching for a man working as an executive secretary for a school in Cebu City.

According to an article from Sunstar, the school employee posted on social media how he escaped from the hospital. As a result, the medical team wasn’t able to retrieve samples from him for testing of COVID-19.
The man mentioned having a fever. Afterward, he consulted a doctor from a private hospital. Following this, standard blood work and other tests were done.
Next, the school employee was referred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC). There, he was supposed to take laboratory tests for four hours.
However, he stated how several workers overheard his conversation with a doctor at VSMMC. As such, the employee felt he would be judged and went back to work instead.
As per the report, the employee had no travel history abroad to countries affected by COVID-19. However, he had met with a foreign national three weeks before showing symptoms.
Meanwhile, Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) officer-in-charge- Col. Engelbert Soriano said the DOH 7 has yet to request assistance from his office to locate the man.
Moreover, Soriano stated that it was the obligation of the hospital to look for the man as the CCPO lacks protective gear against the virus.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 7 Deputy Chief Maj. Ronald Allan Tolosa said they could assist in searching for the school employee. However, they cannot force him to complete the testing in the hospital.
