1st Coronavirus Case Recorded in Batangas City
BATANGAS CITY – The Batangas Provincial Government confirmed the first case of the 2019 novel coronavirus in Batangas City.
Currently, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines is at 52. The Department of Health (DOH) recently recorded three (3) additional cases and three (3) coronavirus death cases in the country.
Currently, Metro Manila is under a “community quarantine”. Most of the coronavirus patients are admitted in hospitals within the Metro.
Several local government units (LGUs) are also quick to inform their constituents in cases of confirmed coronavirus infection. Recently, the provincial government of Batangas made such action.
Based on a report of CNN Philippines, Batangas City confirmed its 1st case of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Meanwhile, it a statement, the provincial government assured that the province is ready for it.
Governor Hermilando Mandanas assured his people that there is enough food supply and resources in Batangas. Meanwhile, he stressed that the people must still be extra careful amid the national crisis now. Here is the statement of the provincial governor of Batangas as posted by CNN:
