Kind Residents in Davao Give Away Calamansi to Motorists Against COVID-19

DAVAO – kind residents and school for the blind in Davao City gives away ‘calamansi’ to motorists to fight against COVID-19.

In a report of ABS-CBN News, the homeowner’s association has offered to provide support for preventive measures taken by the local government. The Davao School for the Blind also helped distribute because they wanted to show that disability does not hinder helping others.

“Na-challenge kami bakit ‘di tayo lalabas? Ating ipakita sa publiko na ‘di tayo dapat matakot,” said Amado So, President of Rivera Village Homeowners Association Inc.

According to the group, calamansi is more effective to combat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as it is rich in Vitamin C. The homeowners worked together to give away over 9,000 Calamansi to passing motorists. They said it was their way of showing support to the preventive measures set by the local government.

Motorists and drivers are impressed with their simple way to fight against the deadly virus. Not only motorists but even netizens were impressed with their good deed.
