2 Coronavirus Patients in PH Currently in Critical Condition – DOH
DOH – The Department of Health revealed that two (2) patients of coronavirus in the Philippines are “critical”.
The Philippines is currently faced with increasing cases of coronavirus infection in the country. Now, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is 33.
Most of the patients are confined in Metro Manila. The Department of Health (DOH) has already confirmed a case of local transmission in the 5th patient, a 62-year-old man with no travel history abroad.
The wife of the said man also tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus. Currently, the Philippines is under a state of public health emergency as it fights against the disease.
The Department of Health recently gave an update regarding the confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the DOH revealed that two (2) of the patients are in “critical condition” now.
According to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, both patients are aging 60 years old above. Based on the report, the patients have to be intubated to assist them in breathing.
Duque did not give further information about the said patients in critical condition. With regards to the coronavirus death toll in the Philippines, the count remained to one (1) – the 44-year-old Chinese man who died while being treated at San Lazaro Hospital.
