Heartbreaking Photo of CAFGU Member Who Earns P4,500/Month Asking for Salary Increase Goes Viral
A CAFGU member earning only P4,500 per month is now asking help from President Duterte and demanding a salary increase.
The Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit or also known as CAFGU is an irregular auxiliary force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. They are allowed to carry firearms to defend their respective localities.
CAFGU are reservists tasked to maintain the peace and order on their area of jurisdiction. They will not be employed outside their localities. These reservists are usually armed with small guns such as M1 Garand, M-14, or M-16 rifles.
Recently, a Facebook user named “Warlie Valenzuela” is demanding a salary increase from the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Valenzuela is asking the Duterte administration to also pay attention to CAFGU personnel especially those who were in Mindanao. He is earning only P4,500 per month and now demanding a salary increase. Warlie said that P10,000 per month will do.
