Pasig Resident Tested Positive for Coronavirus – Mayor Vico Sotto
MAYOR VICO SOTTO – The City Mayor confirmed that a resident of Pasig tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus.
Unfortunately, the number of cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines is increasing. From five (5), there are now ten (10) confirmed cases in the country.
Out of the seven (7) patients who are now being treated in the different hospitals in the country, one of them is a Taiwanese and one is an American.
The 5th case of coronavirus is a local transmission according to the Department of Health (DOH). The wife of the 62-year-old patient also tested positive for the disease.
This morning, March 9, 2020, several local government units confirmed cases of coronavirus in their cities. One of them is Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City.
Recently, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto also took to his Twitter account a post related to coronavirus as per the information from the Department of Health (DOH). According to the Mayor, a resident of Pasig tested positive for the disease.
Mayor Sotto clarified that the resident is admitted in a private hospital outside Pasig. Also, aside from the said resident, a coronavirus patient is admitted in Medical City Pasig now based on the post. The local government unit of Pasig is now coordinating with DOH.
