Bea Alonzo, Piolo Pascual Show Support For ABS-CBN Franchise Bid
ABS-CBN – Prominent actors Bea Alonzo, Piolo Pascual and others show support for ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal bid in a new rendition of “Hawak Kamay.”
The franchise issue of the ABS-CBN network has become the headlines in all local news in the past weeks. The biggest media network in the Philippines was accused of violating the law. However, the tv network denied the accusations.
House speaker Alan Peter Cayetano said the House of the Representative will conduct its first hearing on March 10. They will take up the eleven (11) pending bills seeking to renew its franchise. The Department of Justice (DOJ) clarified that the network’s franchise will expire on May 4, 2020.
In a previous article, ABS-CBN talents, employees and supporters join a candlelight vigil calling for the renewal of the media networks franchise. ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ lead actor and director Coco Martin joined the prayer vigil.
Now, the biggest stars of the country’s top broadcaster took part in the efforts to support their bid for another 25-year franchise.
