Update on the Condition of PNP Chief Archie Gamboa Now Following Helicopter Crash

PNP CHIEF ARCHIE GAMBOA – Philippine National Police Chief Archie Francisco Gamboa figured in a helicopter crash in Laguna.

Yesterday, March 5, 2020, news reports that left many people worried for Philippine National Police Chief Archie Gamboa crossed the surface. The Police Chief figured in a helicopter crash in Laguna.

Gamboa was in San Pedro City in Laguna for the inspection of the impounded vehicles. He was with several other police officials including two (2) generals.

After the inspection, the PNP Chief was supposedly off to Calamba City. They boarded a helicopter to get to Calamba. However, shortly after its take-off, it strangled to the power lines causing it to crash.

Gamboa and other passengers of the helicopter were rescued. They were brought to the hospitals in Laguna.

Previously, it was reported that PNP Chief Archie Gamboa was conscious when he was rescued from the helicopter. His condition was also stable at the hospital. In fact, he is determined to be back to work soon.

Based on a report on GMA News, Police Major General Benigno Duran Jr. expressed that the PNP Chief may be discharged today. According to him, they have talked and the PNP Chief told him that he will really report to work on Monday.

Unfortunately, the Laguna helicopter crash left a police officer fighting for his life. Police Major General Jose Maria Victor Ramos is now in the ICU in a hospital in Biñan and he is in critical condition.
