Daedalus and Icarus were said to be the first two men who flew. Both were locked in a high tower because of one of Daedalus’ invention.

The invention was a mechanic bull for Pasiphae, Minos’ wife, who was cured to fall in love with Minos’ bull. This led to the birth of the Minotaur.

At the end of the story, Icarus fell and died because he felt the euphoria of flying and forget his father’s warning. But what did Daedalus warn Icarus?

What Did He Warn To Icarus?

Daedalus made wings made of birds’ feathers and wax. This was in order to escape the tower they were locked in.

Daedalus instructed Icarus not to fly too high because it will melt the wax, and not to fly too low because the water would soak the wings, rendering them heavy.

The result of not heeding his father’s advice and soaring higher into the sky is his downfall, as the sun melted the wax that brought the feathers together.
