Lea Salonga Shares How She Knew About the Sarah-Matteo Wedding
SARAH-MATTEO WEDDING – Lea Salonga revealed that the celebrity couple called her a day after they officially tied the knot.
One of the celebrity events that recently took the social media by storm was the wedding of Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo. Last February 20, the celebrity couple officially tied the knot.
Collectively called as AshMatt, Sarah and Matteo had an intimate wedding. It was a Christian wedding held at The Fort in Taguig and it gathered only a few people.
The family of Matteo was present at their wedding. Their relationship counselor, Letty Fuentes, was also there. Although there were rumors, the public did not know that the couple was really marrying each other that day.
However, it came to the knowledge of the public after a bodyguard of Sarah Geronimo reported to the police that Matteo Guidicelli allegedly punched him. Mommy Divine reportedly came at the wedding and was very mad.
Meanwhile, amid the unexpected incidents at the Sarah-Matteo wedding, many are very happy for the couple and have the best wishes for them. One of them is Sarah’s fellow The Voice coach Lea Salonga.
In her column for Inquirer, Lea Salonga revealed that she had no idea that the Sarah-Matteo wedding was really happening that day. It was already on Friday when she knew that the couple really got married.
According to Lea, there were a lot of questions regarding the wedding but she pointed to an important query and that is if Sarah is happy. She then revealed that it was answered by a video call from the couple on Friday night.
In her column, Lea Salonga shared that she got a video call from the couple on Friday night, a day after the Sarah-Matteo wedding, while she was having dinner with some friends. She saw the couple flashing their rings.
“Flashing a brand-new piece of hardware on her finger, with him flashing his own. And she looks happy. They both do. Truly, peacefully, undoubtedly happy,” the singer-actress stated.
Lea ended her column expressing her congratulations and best wishes for Matteo and Sarah. She also stated that this full week of taping would be so much fun.
