Method in Counting Coronavirus Patients in China Changed
CHINA – The Chinese officials revised again the method in counting the patients of coronavirus in their country.
Undeniably, most of the world’s attention now with regards to the novel coronavirus or the COVID-19 is on China. Sadly, the Chinese communities were greatly affected by the said disease which first emerged in Wuhan City.
Wuhan is now under a mandatory lock-down for several days already. The disease has infected more than 60,000 people in the mainland China and more than 1,000 individuals died because of it.
The novel coronavirus is suspected to came from the bat soup served in the market in Wuhan. It has yet to be proven and the disease’s extent is being studied still.
However, many researchers see problem with the way China counts its coronavirus patients. Previously, the officials in an area has removed from the records those patients with no symptoms.
Also, a week ago, the health officials expressed that it will add to the count those patients in Hubei province who were diagnosed with coronavirus through to clinical methods. It spiked the records.
Recently, based on a report on ABS-CBN NEWS, the Chinese authorities once again revised the method of counting the coronavirus cases in China. It will now include only those patients diagnosed through a laboratory testing.
As of this writing, there are still no further information regarding the move of the Chinese officials. More updates may be posted soon.
