Agot Isidro Says Bato Dela Rosa Should Have Not Run For Office
AGOT ISIDRO – Veteran actress Agot Isidro said Senator Bato Dela Rosa should have not run for office if his loyalty is to a person and not to his countrymen.
Filipina actress Agot Isidro is known as one of the most vocal critics of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. On February 13, she took to Twitter to encourage her fellow celebrities to speak out amid the ABS-CBN franchise renewal issue.
Solicitor General Jose Calida filed the quo waranto petition before the Supreme Court. He accused the media giant of “highly abusive practices and allegedly violating the terms of its franchise.
Neophyte Senator Bato Dela Rosa was recently interviewed in the Senate regarding the franchise renewal issue of the Kapamilya network. He admitted that he is being biased towards the 74-year-old chief executive amid the tv network’s franchise problem.
The former PNP chief proclaimed that he “will live and die” with Duterte after he was asked if the president would influence his decision. “Tinatanong pa ba ‘yan sa akin? Ako, I will live and die with President Duterte. I will sink and swim with him,” he said.
He, however, clarified that he’s not following the Davaoeño president blindly, saying “It just so happens that our minds are synchronized… but I’m not blind, I’m using my mind.”
On Wednesday, Agot Isidro called out Dela Rosa after he reaffirmed his support to the president. On her Tweet, she said the politician should have not run for the office since his loyalty is to a person and not to the Filipino people.
“Sir, allegiance to country first! Dapat di kayo nag-senador kung biased kayo. Nakakapanlumo. Paano na, Pilipinas. Tayo-tayo lang ito,” she wrote.
Agot Isidro’s Tweet elicited various reactions from the online community. Here are some of their comments on the post:
@merson21: “Hanggang diyan lang po siguro ang abot ng utak niya.”
@iamasner04: “Tayo tayo na lang talaga. Wla maaashan sa gobyerno lalo sa mga pulitiko na majority kaalyado”
@tapAlan: “Eto yung literal na ‘partners in crime’”
