TONI GONZAGA – Kapamilya multimedia superstar Toni Gonzaga has this marriage advice for engaged sister, celebrity vlogger Alex Gonzaga.
Last December 2019 and officially announced on January 2020, Alex Gonzaga got engaged to politician boyfriend and businessman Mikee Morada. She already had her wedding gown which they got from Singapore with her sister Toni Gonzaga.
Meanwhile, Toni Gonzaga is married to filmmaker Paul Soriano and they are blessed to have Severiano Elliott. Truly, the families of Soriano and Gonzaga are something that many people look up to and admire. Toni and Alex are raised by Mommy Pinty and Daddy Bonoy with great values and surely, that’s what the sisters are going to do with their kids as well.
Now, as the eldest and the first who got married and have a child, Toni shared a marriage advice to her sister and that is when married, she and her husband becomes one, thus, the “me” culture within is eliminated. This is, according to her, in a married life, you have to consider the wants and situation of your partner because both of you are working through it.
She said as per PEP, “Ang payo ko sa kanya is everything changes when you’re a wife, especially when you become a mother. It’s not about you anymore, it’s about the two of you. There’s no more ‘I,’ I keep telling her. ‘There’s no more ‘I’ in marriage. There’s no more ‘me.’ It’s all about ‘we,’ ‘us.’ You become one with your partner.”
Meanwhile, when it comes to wedding planning and session of Alex, she doesn’t tag along Toni with her. For Toni, it could because she’s a bit controlling and Alex surely know that there would some things which would not fit her taste.
