Alex Gonzaga has this question to Jennylyn Mercado amid the AB-CBN issue
Kapamilya star Alex Gonzaga asked Kapuso star Jennylyn Mercado if she will support them amid the ABS-CBN franchise issue.
Alex took to a lighter side the heated argument between the pro and anti franchise renewal of the Kapamilya network. She was invited in the first Co-Love concert of Jennylyn with longtime boyfriend Dennis Trillo last February 15 at the New Frontier Theater.
During their spiel, Alex joked about the revealing green dress of Jennylyn. The Kapamilya host was wearing a maroon outfit. With the color scheme of their outfits, based on the article from PEP, Alex joked, “Si Dennis ba ay naka-blue? Kasi parang pa-ABS-CBN na tayo. Susuportahan mo ba kami?”
The colors red, green, and blue are the trademark colors of ABS-CBN logo. With that joke from Alex, Jennylyn answered, “Huwag kang ganyan. Huwag kang ganyan.”
Then, the Kapuso artist sang a part of GMA’s theme song, “Kami ay Kapuso. Makulay ang buhay…” Alex Gonzaga continued her funny blow by saying, “Nakita mo na nga na namumrublema na nga kami, e!” This spiel received loud laughs from the audience, based on the article.
Meanwhile, several Kapuso stars have expressed support for the Kapamilya network amid the franchise renewal issue. GMA’s Primetime King Dingdong Dantes shared a thread on his Twitter expressing his support for ABS-CBN. This was seconded by his Descendants of the Sun co-star Jasmine Curtis.

Kapuso comedian Eugene Domingo, who also did several stints in the Kapamilya network, showed her support through her Instagram post. Other personalities who also worked in GMA in the support showed support for ABS-CBN such as Michael Fajatin and Paolo Bediones.
