PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this February 5, 2020.

The bureau’s latest weather update states that the northeast monsoon or amihan will be affecting Luzon and Visayas.

According to GMA News, the bureau spotted a low pressure area (LPA) which is about 1,015 kilometers east of the city of Davao.

Eastern Visayas will face cloudy skies and scattered rains due to the northeast monsoon. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during heavy rains.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies isolated light rains over Metro Manila, as well as the rest of Luzon and Visayas.

Partly cloudy skies to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms will be faced by Mindanao. The bureau warned of isolated floodings or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, Luzon and Visayas will face moderate to strong winds moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Mindanao will face moderate winds moving in the northeast to north direction with moderate coastal waters.
