2 Million Kobe Bryant Fans Signs Petition To Make His Image New NBA Logo
KOBE BRYANT – More than 2 million Kobe Bryant fans signed a petition to make his image the new NBA logo.
Basketball fans all over the world are mourning following the death of the National Basketball Association (NBA) superstar Kobe Bryant. He died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, along with his daughter Gianna and seven other people.
Kobe’s fellow athletes struggled to process his sudden death. His friend LeBron James finally broke his silence via an Instagram post. He promised to continue the NBA star’s legacy.
In a previous article, Kobe Bryant’s Filipino fans created a special mural painting as a tribute to the late Los Angeles Lakers player. Residents and artists worked tirelessly to paint an on-court mural.
Based on a report from CBS News, more than 2 million Bryant fans signed a petition to make his image the new logo of the NBA. They want to replace the silhouette of Bryant’s fellow LA Lakers legend Jerry West. He was a friend and mentor to Bryant.
According to the report, Rapper Boosie Badazz was among the first fans who suggest replacing the logo with Bryant’s silhouette. He explained it on his Instagram video. “You gotta put Kobe Bryant on the NBA logo,” he said.
A former NBA player Jamal Crawford agreed with his suggestion. “Kobe has to be the new NBA logo,” he said.
Based on the report, Jerry West has some touching words for Kobe Bryant on Sunday. “I will love Kobe forever and always cherish the time that I spent with him. I watched him grow from an energetic kid into the man he became, making a difference in so many people’s life. He has left the world a better place. Kobe’s legacy will live forever.”
