Kobe Bryant’s Filipino Fans Create Special Mural In Taguig

KOBE BRYANT – NBA superstar Kobe Bryant’s Filipino fans created a special mural as a tribute following his sudden death.

National Basketball Association (NBA) superstar Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others died on Sunday morning in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. They were reportedly on their way to Mamba Sports Academy for a basketball game.

The terrible news shocked the legendary player’s fans, fellow athletes and celebrities. The 2020 Grammy Award opens with a tribute to the basketball player. Singer Alicia Keys and Boyz II Men performed a song for him.

Kobe Bryant’s Filipino fans mourn his death. Among the celebrities who paid tribute to the American athlete include Manny Pacquiao, Regine Velasquez, Joross Gamboa, John Prats, and Ruffa Gutierrez.

Based on a report from GMA News, Pinoy fans created a special mural in Taguig to honor the late basketball player. A group of artists created a mural at a covered court of a tenement housing. A man named Mike Swift a.k.a. Mr. Pinoy Hoops said it’s their way to pay homage to their idol. they also lit candles in tribute to Bryant.

“Nagbibigay tribute, nagbibigay respeto at pagmamahal para sa isang extraordinary, one of a kind athlete, arguably the best to ever play the game of basketball, Kobe Bryant,” he said.

A Facebook user named Alfredo Armas shared several photos of the mural in Taguig. In the caption, he said Mike’s team will let their fellow Kobe fans borrow paintbrush and paint to help them finish the mural.

“Happening right now Tenement Taguig, tribute of Filipino fans specially Mr. Mike Swift and his crew. Kudos! open sya sa kahit na sino , hahayaan pa kayong mag murals hingi lang kayo ng baso, paintbrush at paint. Ambabait nila promise!”

“It feels like I saw him personally you can really feel the love of Filipino fans to passing Kobe Bryant . Let the world know kung gaano kalupit ang mga Pinoy sa pag gawa ng mga gantong obra,” he added.
