Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Monday (January 20)

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension in some areas due to the effect of Taal’s eruption.

Last week, Taal Volcano has been the headlines of several local news outlets and social media pages after its unexpected eruption. The volcano belches ashes, small stones, and pyroclastic materials affecting thousands of residents.

The eruption causes slight to severe damage in numerous houses, establishments, and properties in the affected areas. Many residents have also left their homes and temporarily take shelter in evacuation centers due to the ongoing eruption of Taal.

The local government units, schools, and universities have also declared class and work suspension to ensure the safety of both students and employees. Flights have been also canceled last week due to Taal’s eruption.
