JIRO MANIO – Former child actor Jiro Manio, now 27 years old, nabbed by the authorities on Friday night in Marikina City, January 17.

Former child actor Jiro Manio, now 27 years old, was reportedly nabbed by the authorities on Friday night after alleged frustrated homicide. Accordingly, he stabbed someone identified Zeus Doctolero.

The initial police investigation stated that the wounded victim was coming from an opposite direction meeting the former child actor halfway who then attacked him and a fight started. According to the allegations based on GMA’s report, he grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim. Former child actor defended himself saying that the victim was the one who hit him with a helmet first.

Manio is tarted acting at the age of seven in the film Pamana in 1999 but became most remarkable in the film Magnifico. In 2011, Manio underwent rehabilitation treatment for drug addiction and entered a drug rehabilitation facility.

But in June 2015, he was spotted as a homeless man wandering around Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. This happened after he ran away went missing for four days following an apparent altercation against his relatives.

In January 2016 he was released from the rehab center but returned on February due to his chronic condition.

Other films he starred were Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last Na ‘To), Villa Estrella, Mano Po 2: Overload, Ang Lihim Ni Antonio, Tambolista, Tirador, Manay po, La Vida Rosa, Forster Child, Anghel Sa Lupa, and among others.
