Road Rage Between Between Angkas Passenger & MTPB Personnel Elicits Comments Online
The video footage of an intense confrontation between an Angkas passenger and MTPB personnel goes viral online.
Road rage incident is one of the major traffic problems not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. The cases of traffic altercations continue to increase despite the stricter traffic policy.
Short-tempered and hot-headed motorists are the most involved in traffic altercations that usually lead to further troubles such as road rage incidents. Road rage usually leads to massive traffic congestion and inconvenience along the road.
Traffic personnel are public servants hired by the government to control and manage the flow of traffic along the street. However, they should implement the traffic policy with respect and consideration towards others.
Recently, a Facebook user named Albert Bonavente Bautista has expressed his disappointment towards the personnel of Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau – MTPB for allegedly insulting him during a traffic altercation.
In the video, it can be seen that Bautista and some of the MTPB personnel were having an exchange of heated arguments after the traffic cops accused the Angkas rider of beating the red light.

‼️PLEASE READ. Hindi ko na nakuhanan ang buong pangyayare. Not everything that transpired was captured on the video. Late na ko nakapagvideo.‼️
I figured in a road rage with 6 of your personnel (I only was able to get photos, videos and names of 4) in front of the DPWH Building right outside Intramuros while riding Angkas.
NAPAKABABASTOS NG MGA TAO NIYO. Tinawag akong bading, tanga, malambot when I started asking for their names and their IDs. On the video, you will hear that I retaliated and called one of them “ulol” and bisakol after calling me “tanga”. Even before I started taking the video, may nagsalita na jan sa mga yan ng “Ano ba tong pakialamerong bakla na to?” Please do not assume that I would retaliate for no reason. PUBLIC SERVANTS? WHO ARE THEY SERVING, REALLY? Their interests?
Beating the red light DAW. We crossed on a yellow light. The crossing was merely 4-6 meters which you can pass through on a yellow within or even less than 3 seconds. They were citing the trucks behind. Hinarang nila kami together with other motorists (mga nasa sampu yan lahat pero umalis yung iba at wala silang nagawa). When I started asking for their names dahil hindi nakakabit ang mga name plate nila, this old guy in the third photo shouted “Ticketan mo yan lahat! Walang patatakasin!

PS
If you’re wondering kung bakit hindi nagsaslaita yung rider ko, he’s only 23.
‼️UPDATE‼️
Suspended sila for 1 month.
‼️SA MGA BISAYA‼️
Hindi kayo kasali. Yung tinawag kong bisakol eh yung kausap ko. Wag kayong
Puro kayo ingay.”
