On January 9, copies of the arrest warrant for Yeng surfaced on social media. It was said that the document was issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Dapa, Surigao del Norte back on December 12, 2019.
Fellow medical practitioners of Dr. Esterlina Tan, the doctor who the singer criticized online, called out for support. They are voicing out their cry regarding this issue because it has been several weeks since the warrant was issued but the complainant received no action.
The social media accounts of the Kapamilya singer have been silent about this. With this, the University of the Philippines Executive Vice President Teddy Herbosa, who is also a former DOH Undersecretary posted a thread on Twitter regarding this issue.
He has this statement: “Yeng Constantino clueless about anti-cybercrime case filed against her.” Does this reflect the possibility that the Kapamilya singer has no idea that there is a warrant of arrest issued for her?
At the time of writing, the camp of Yeng has not released any statement yet regarding this. The issue started last July of 2019 when her husband, Yan Asuncion had a cliff diving accident. Since they haven’t got the medical attention that they needed in the hospital in Siargao, the singer was disappointed at the same time that she was frightened about the condition of her husband.
With that situation, Yeng ranted on social media against Dr. Esterlina Tan which turned out to be a wrong move. After that, she received a big round of bashing from the online community and that led to her public apology. However, the doctor still continued filing the anti-cybercrime case against her.
