Yeng Constantino apologized after ranting against a doctor in Siargao
Kapamilya singer Yeng Constantino issued a public apology for ranting against Dr. Esterlina Tan in Siargao.
It can be recalled that Yeng’s husband Yan Asuncion had a cliff diving accident in the surfing capital of the Philippines during their recent vacation there.
Yan suffered from temporary memory loss as he forgot what year is now and how they arrived in Siargao.
He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but was brought to Dapa Siargao Hospital afterwards to undergo an x-ray.
However, Yeng narrated in her social media posts and YouTube vlog that they experienced alleged negligence from Dr. Esterlina Tan. She also said that the lack of facilities in the hospital added to her worries.
Because of this, the singer ranted against the doctor on social media, naming and including her photo on the post.
After this, Yeng Constantino received bashing for irresponsibly reacting to the situation.
She was slammed for ranting against the doctor on social media when she can bring her complaint to a proper forum.
A few days after the accident, Yeng issued her public apology through her post on Facebook.
She said that after talking to the people close to her, she realized the mistake she did. The singer also said that her high emotions triggered her recent posts about the accident.
“I would like to apologize to Dr. Esterlina Tan and the other medical staff for the hurt that my post and vlog has caused them,” she said.
Yeng also realized that it was not right to rant against the doctor on social media. After what happened, she promised to “be more responsible next time.”
