Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil Has this Message To Duterte About ABS-CBN Franchise Renewal
LIZA SOBERANO – Real-life couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil gave a message to President Rodrigo Duterte about ABS-CBN franchise renewal.
Several ABS-CBN celebrities have reacted after President Rodrigo Roa Duterte said he won’t allow the tv network to renew its franchise. The franchise is set to expire in March 2020.
Among the celebrities who have made an appeal to the president are Baron Geisler, Sharon Cuneta, and Robin Padilla. Angeline Quinto and Boy Abunda revealed their plan B in case the network fails to secure its franchise renewal.
ABS-CBN is set to air its new shows this year like James Reid and Nancy McDonie’s tv series entitled ‘Soulmate’ and reel-to-real life couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s new series ‘Make It With You.’
Recently, the media asked the Filipina-American actress, Liza Soberano, about her thoughts on the comments of President Duterte. Based on a report from PUSH, the 22-year-old actress is optimistic about Kapamilya’s franchise renewal and believed that the president will soon change his mind considering thousands of workers will lose their jobs if it happens.
“I believe he is understanding and alam niya namang maraming maapektuhan. It’s not just the company itself but all the employees and I’m sure he has a generous heart and understanding heart, so I hope he wakes up one morning and he thinks about it again and maging bukas ‘yung puso niya sa lahat ng smaller employees na nangangailangan ng trabaho,” she said.
According to the report, the media also asked for Enrique Gil’s thoughts on Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s remarks. The Filipino actor shared the same sentiments with his girlfriend.
“Ang iniisip ko lang ang ‘yung may mabababang posisyon. You know I don’t know what to say minsan. Siyempre nasasaktan din ako na there is a possibility na hindi matuloy. [This is the company] we grew up. I’ve been here for a long time but I don’t know. I just hope for the best,” he said.
Surely, the employees of the ABS-CBN network are hoping and praying that the president will change his mind before the deadline.
