PAGASA – Northeast Monsoon To Bring Clouds, Rains (December 31)

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that the northeast monsoon o amihan will bring cloudy skies and light rains over many provinces.

The bureau elaborated that amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.

According to GMA News, meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to amihan will be faced by the Ilocos Region and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region.

The bureau further warned the public of potential gusty conditions in mountainous and coastal areas.

Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the country, will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, northern Luzon will face moderate to strong winds moving northeast and moderate to rough coastal waters.

The eastern sections of central and southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will face moderate to strong winds moving in the northeast and moderate to rough coastal waters.

As for the rest of the country, they will face light to moderate winds moving northeast and slight to moderate coastal waters.
