PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update For Friday (December 20)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough of a low-pressure area would bring rains over some parts of the Philippines.

On Friday (December 20, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The low-pressure area and the easterlies would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that the trough of the LPA would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas.

The low-pressure area was last spotted at Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 3:00 am on Friday early morning while its trough would affect the weather condition over the northeastern section of Mindanao.

The easterlies would also bring cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quezon. The same weather system would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas regarding possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and the Eastern sections of Visayas, and Mindanao would be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are also expected over the rest of the country.
