MARGIELYN DIDAL – SEA Games gold medalist Margielyn Didal stuck her tongue out and threw up a peace sign beside President Rodrigo Roa Duterte during an awarding ceremony.

Skateboarding is considered one of the underground sports in the Philippines until skateboarder Margielyn Didal won the gold medal in the Asian Games in 2018. She is one of the athletes like gymnast Carlos Yulo and weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz who made millions of Filipinos proud.

During the 30th Southeast Asian Games, the Cebuana skateboarder displayed a flawless performance and edged her fellow Pinay skateboarder Christiana Means in the tricks competition.

Based on a report from GMA News, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte honors all the athletes who won in the SEA Games 2019 in Malacañang Palace on Wednesday, December 18. 800 Filipino athletes received the ‘Order of Lapu-Lapu’ with the rank of Kamagi.

Hidilyn Diaz, Agatha Wong, Nesthy Petecio, and Margielyn Didal were among those who were present at the recognition ceremony.
