How Much Did Carlos Yulo Earn For 7 SEA Games Medals?
CARLOS YULO – The athlete was given the name “Golden Boy” after bagging 7 medals in several events in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Because of this, Yulo would surely get compensated with incentives. But, just how much would the Golden Boy get?
Yulo was the most bemedalled athlete of the Philippines. Aside from the praise and love of the Filipino people, he would also be receiving a P3.2 million cash bonus from the government.
This is possible under the promised incentives of the Philippines Sports Commission Act (RA 10699), the Philippine Olympic Committee, and President Rodrigo Duterte.

Carlos Yulo won 2 gold medals and 5 silver medals in the 2019 SEA Games. With this, the athlete would be given P.17 million for his first place wins and Php1.5 million for his second-place finishes.
Yulo won the 2 golds for the men’s all-around event and the floor exercises event. Meanwhile, his silver wins were from the vault, still rings, pommel horse, parallel bars and horizontal bar events.
In totality, the Malacañang would be giving out cash incentives to P149 gold, 117 silver, and 120 bronze medalists during the awarding ceremony. The event would be held on Wednesday, December 18.
