Government Employees To Get P10k Incentive
The government employees will receive an additional P10,000 incentive aside from their 13th-month pay and Christmas bonus.
President Rodrigo Duterte has already approved the Administrative Order 19 granting the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for the government employees. Duterte said that the state workers deserved a reward to recognize their efforts in performing public service.
The order aims to “recognize and further encourage the unwavering commitment and dedication of government employees in performing their work, their continued support and collaborative efforts in the delivery of services to the public,” Duterte said.
Earlier this week, the president announced that the workers from the executive branch will receive a Christmas bonus of P60,000 each. The employees would also receive their 13th-month pay before Christmas Day.
Mr. Duterte directed the grant of the one-time Service Recognition Incentive at an amount not exceeding P10,000. Civilian personnel in national government agencies occupying regular, contractual or casual positions would also receive the incentive.
Here is the list of other government personnel covered by the grant:
- Military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines under the Department of National Defense
- Uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police
- Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology under the Department of the Interior and Local Government
- Bureau of Corrections under the Department of Justice
- Philippine Coast Guard under the Department of Transportation
