Arnell Ignacio Appeals to Theater Owners Not To Pull Out His Movie “Damaso” From Cinemas Yet
ARNELL IGNACIO – “Damaso” actor Arnell Ignacio appealed to the theater owners not to pull out his movie from the cinemas yet.
Filipino actor Arnell Ignacio is one of the celebrities who became part of the government. He was previously appointed as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) deputy administrator. His job is to take care of Filipinos who work in different countries around the world.
In February 2019, he decided to resign from his post due to personal reasons. Now, he’s back in showbusiness and starred on the movie entitled “Damaso.”
Based on a report from PEP, Arnell Ignacio made an appeal to the theater owners not to pull out his movie “Damaso” yet. He aired his sentiment on the radio program DZRH on Wednesday, November 21.
“Nakalungkot naman, kasi ang lakas din ng loob namin, di ba? Nilabanan namin ang Frozen 2, pati ang Ford vs. Ferrari. Mga heavyweight…”
“Pero heto kami, kakanta ng Damaso, ‘tapos… sila, di ba? Pero aktingan naman talaga ito. Nakikiusap naman ako sa ating mga sinehan. Kasi, napapanood lang pala siya na hindi pala buong maghapon. Meron palang mga designated hours,” he added.
According to the report, they have also asked the Department of Education (DepEd) to endorse “Damaso” to the students. They hoped that they could watch the musical film during the weekends.
“Minsan lang ito, e, pagbigyan ninyo na kami… Kahit hanggang weekend lang naman, kasi ang dami nang gusting manood. Kaya lang, pag nakita nila, ay iba pala,” Arnell said.
Arnell Ignacio was recently bashed by Vice Ganda’s fans after he gave negative comments to the dancing Boy Scouts who guested on GGV (Gandang Gabi Vice). Some people said it is inappropriate for the actor to say something like that while others defended the kids who danced at the show.
