Temporary Road Closure Of Jones Bridge On Sunday (November 24)
JONES BRIDGE – The government of Manila recently announced that there will be a temporary road closure of Jones Bridge on Sunday.
According to PhilStar, the Manila Public Information Office said in its advisory that the bridge will be closed on Sunday starting 3 PM up to 7 PM. They have yet to announce the reason for the said closure.
On November, the lamp posts on the Paris-like bridge have jut been refurbished.
The city’s mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso said that they acquired the aid of Jerry Acuzar, who is the architect behind the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a historical and heritage resort.
Acuzar is hired to be the consultant for the posts. Around ₱20 million worth of donation came from Chinese businessmen for the restoration of the bridge.
Based on the report, here are the alternate routes for motorists that will head to Divisoria, Taft Avenue, P. Burgos and Roxas Boulevard, on the said time:
- Going to Divisoria
- McArthur Bridge
- Sta. Cruz Church
- Take U-Turn to Plaza Sta. Cruz
- Straight to Dasmarinas street
- Quintin Paredes street
- Divisoria (end point)
- SOUTH BOUND (going to Taft Ave., P. Burgos, Roxas Blvd.)
- Juan Luna street
- Muelle Dela Industria, Riverside
- Go to Sta. Cruz area
- Straight to destination
