Original Korean Actor Reacts To PH Remake Of His Hit Movie ‘Miracle In Cell No. 7’
MIRACLE IN CELL NO 7 – Ryu Seung-Ryong, the original Korean actor of the 2013 drama film ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7, reacted to the PH remake of his movie.
South Korean drama film Miracle in Cell No. 7 is a story about a mentally-ill man who is wrongfully charged of murdering a little girl. He builds friendships with his fellow inmates and together they form a plan to smuggle his daughter into the prison.
The hit Korean film was adapted in the Philippines for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019. Actor Aga Muhlach plays “Lito,” the father, while child star Xia Vigor portrays his daughter. Cast members include Bela Padilla, Tirso Cruz III, Joel Torre, JC Santos, and Jojit Lorenzo among others.
On November 12, Viva Entertainment released the first trailer of the Filipino remake of Miracle in Cell No. 7. Lots of people are weeping after watching the trailer.
The original actor of the movie, Ryu Seung-Ryong, reacted after learning that the Philippines made a remake of the 2013 phenomenal film. He took to Facebook to share his thoughts about the Pinoy adaptation.
“So touched to know that there will be a Philippine remake,” he wrote.
The producer of the Filipino version of Miracle in Cell No. 7, Viva Films, expressed their gratitude to the famous Korean actor for his support.
