Millions of people would say that Christmas is their favorite season of the year. Among them are the Filipinos. As early as the month of September, they have already prepared their decorations of light up their house and Christmas trees.
Makati City already displayed their colorful light in its parks and elevated walkways. The mayor of the city of Manila, Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, has ordered to fix and clean the ‘Liwasan Bonifacio’ for the Christmas season.
In a previous article, Isko Moreno was spotted dancing cha cha beside the dancing fountain with lights at Liwasang Bonifacio.
On Saturday, November 9, 2019, Zamboanga Sibugay showed off their ‘Festival Lights’. Based on a report from PNA Gov, the “lights on” ceremony was led by officials in the province.
The quadrangle at the provincial capitol in Zamboanga Sibugay was filled with LED lights. It can easily be seen during the night time because it’s situated on a hilltop in Brgy. Ipil Heights.
According to the report, the ‘Festival Lights’ aim to showcase the business potential and tourism in their province said Governor Wilter Yap Palma.
“This is one way of showcasing (the potentials) of the province of Zamboanga Sibugay and this is for our people to enjoy not only for Sibugaynons but also for the neighboring provinces.”
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, this year’s theme is “Children’s Theme Park.” They featured famous cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Minions, and Roger Rabbit among others.
Some of the eye-catching attractions are inspired by the movies “Transformers,” “Avengers,” and “Frozen.”
The provincial government in Zamboanga Sibugay hoped that lots of people would come and visit their attraction. The ‘Festival of Lights’ are on display until February 25.
