Chem Eng Graduate Found Dead Inside Hotel Room Few Days Before Taking Board Exams

A Chem Eng graduate identified as Billy John Ferolin has been found dead in a hotel room in Manila a few days before taking board exams.

The 23-year-old Chemical engineering graduate from the University of Mindanao has been stabbed to death inside a budget hotel along Jhocson Street, Barangay 407 District 4, Sampaloc, Manila, according to Manila Police District Homicide Section Chief Capt. Henry Navarro.

Ferolin’s lifeless body has been found by Nelly Villanueva at the hotel’s comfort room while conducting a routine inspection inside the building at 8:00 am on November 1, 2019 (All Saints’ Day).

Navarro said that no identification cards have been found in the crime scene. The victim’s remain was brought to Funeraria Cruz for autopsy while the authorities will conduct a follow-up investigation to arrest the suspect.

According to the investigation, the unidentified suspect and the victim checked inside the hotel at 4:59 am on November 1. The police officers described the suspect as a male, around 5’8” in heights, and looks like 25-30 years.

In July 2019, Ferolin went to Manila to attend review classes for his licensure examinations, which will be held on November 23-25, 2019. The family and friends of Ferolin are now calling for justice.
