FlipTop Rapper Loonie Performs Inside Makati City Jail
FLIPTOP RAPPER – The famous fliptop rapper Loonie performed in front of his inmates inside the Makati City Jail.
Filipino fliptop rapper Marlon Peroramas or better known as Loonie is one of the famous entertainers in the Philippines. He is friends with the Phenomenal star Vice Ganda and rapper Abra.
On September 18, 2019, he and his four companions were arrested by cops in a buy-bust operation in Makati. The authorities seized 15 sachets of herb worth P100,000. He also tested positive cannabis Sativa use.
Loonie’s fans showed support after his arrest. They rallied through posting on social media and used the #FREELOONIE questioning the cops’ operations and asked for his release.
The fliptop rapper was spotted performing inside Makati City Jail on Sunday, October 27. His charges didn’t stop him from uplifting the spirits of his fellow inmates.
Two videos of him performing inside a jail facility emerged on social media. Most of his audience wore a yellow shirt. One of the videos was uploaded on Youtube by Zhenre Zei while the other one was shared on Facebook by a netizen named Jeffrey Parido Pallan.
Based on a report from One News, Looney performs his hit songs “Tao Lang” and “Balewala” as part of the celebration of the National Corrections Consciousness Week.
According to the report, the facility’s deputy chief for operations Inspector, Ramon Carolino, said it was the rapper and other inmate’s chance to show off their talents and make other people happy. The officials at Makati City jail said the fliptop rapper did not hesitate to perform for the celebration.
“I did not hesitate… everyone knows people have been looking for me for inspiration, so I did what I have been doing all my life,” Loonie said.
