Loonie, 4 Others Arrested in Makati Buy-Bust
LOONIE – FlipTop rapper Loonie and four others were arrested by Makati police during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday night.
Filipino rapper Marlon Peroramas or better known as Loonie is considered one of the well-known performers in the battle rap community. In 2013, he released his first album titled “Ultrasound.”
Before he gained fame, he is one of Francis Magalona’s ‘hype men.’ He has also collaborated with ‘Greyhoundz’ and rapper Abra. His song “Tao Lang” earned him ‘Urban Award’ for Best Original Song as well as ‘Awit Award’ for Best Rap Recording.
In a previous article, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) warned the Filipino youth about rappers who are involved in the illegal drug trade. Their announcement came after they arrested three famous rappers who are caught in possession of illegal drugs.
Recently, the Makati police station’s Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation on Wednesday night. Based on a report from Inquirer, the authorities nabbed Loonie and his four companions.
According to the report, cops arrested Loonie and his four cohorts identified as Idyll Liza Diaz, Ivan Agustin, David Rizon, and Albert Alvarez. Members of Makati police conducted a buy-bust operation at a basement of a condominium in Poblacion, Makatiat 8:45 p.m. The police seized high-grade cannabis Sativa worth P100,000.
