Phivolcs: Magnitude 3.2 Earthquake Hits Davao Oriental
BREAKING NEWS – The state volcanology agency Phivolcs reported that a magnitude 3.2 earthquake hits Davao Oriental.
Last week, the series of powerful earthquakes that hit Cotabato and its nearby provinces becomes one of the most discussed topics online. The consecutive temblors in different parts of the country raised the concern of the public.
The major earthquakes that shook parts of Mindanao destroyed several buildings and establishments. The temblors also displaced thousands of residents and even killed some people in the area.
The Philippines government is already making immediate action to help the victims in the quake-affected areas.
On Wednesday (November 6, 2019), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a magnitude 3.2 earthquake in the town of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental at 8:14 am.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located at 05.77°N, 127.21°E – 159 km S 52° E of Governor Generoso. The tremor is tectonic in origin and has a depth of 026 kilometers. The seismology agency expects no damage or aftershocks from the recent incident.
