Gretchen Barretto Confirms She’s Returned To Manila from San Francisco
GRETCHEN BARRETTO – Former actress Gretchen Barretto is now back in Manila following her short visit to her daughter, Dominique Cojuangco, in San Francisco.
Undeniably, one of the loudest talk on social media this year is the feud between the Barretto sisters. It became more intense following a tension at the wake of their late father, Miguel Barretto.
Miguel died on October 15, 2019. He was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of St. Luke’s Medical Center for several days prior to his passing. He was surrounded by his family when he breathed his last.
It is no secret to the public that Miguel and his wife, Inday Barretto, are not in speaking terms with one of their children, former actress Gretchen Barretto, for several years already. She and her sister, Marjorie, are also not in good terms.
Gretchen visited the wake of her late father. Inday welcomed her daughter with an embrace after several years of not being in good terms. On the part of Marjorie, her visit to the wake did not sit well with her.
Marjorie believes that it would be better if Gretchen did it in private while their dad was still fighting for his life at the hospital. On her part, Gretchen claimed that she was not allowed to visit him to prevent the outburst of her younger sister.
The feud between Marjorie and Gretchen Barretto hooked a lot of people. It even reached international headlines. After the Barretto patriarch was laid to rest, Greta flew to San Francisco to be with her daughter, Dominique Cojuangco.
While Gretchen was in San Francisco, Marjorie broke her silence through an interview with ABS-CBN News anchor Karen Davila. She threw accusations against her older sister who was also quick to put down her claims.
Recently, Gretchen Barretto confirmed on Instagram that she is now back in Manila from San Francisco. She posted videos taken during her visit abroad as she missed the food they ate.
