“No Work, No Pay” Policy on November 1 & 2, DOLE Says
The Department of Labor and Employment said that “No Work, No Pay”policy will be implemented on November 1 and 2, 2019.
DOLE released the Labor Advisory No.11 series of 2019 declaring November 1 and 2, 2019 as special non-working days. The advisory informs the public that “No Work, No Pay” policy shall be observed during those dates.
Employees who will not work on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day to visit their departed loved ones won’t get any pay unless there is a favorable company policy granting payment during the holiday.
However, workers who will choose to report during the special non-working holidays are entitled to receive an additional 30 percent of his/her basic salary on the first eight hours of work.
If a worker would work exceeding eight hours he/she shall be paid with an additional 30 percent hourly rate on the said day.
