It also includes Real-time operation and has sophisticated functionality. This means that it could run complex or multiple algorithms programmed into it.
Most of these components are often seen inside embedded systems. From your TV remote to your airconditioning unit, these components can be seen anywhere.
If you have an electronic device that does a certain task, most probably there’s a microprocessor embedded inside.
The instructions of these microprocessors were processed serially, they fetched the instruction, decoded and then executed it.

- ASIC- Application Specific Integrated Circuit

- DSP’s-Digital Signal Microprocessors
