A Man Gets Arrested For Attempted Blackmail
BLACKMAIL – A man gets arrested for attempting to blackmail a woman who goes by the name of “Lidya” by threatening to spread her sensitive photos and videos.
The suspect was apprehended by the authorities on Quezon City. According to reports, the victim met the suspect through social media.
From there, they started chatting and getting to know each other. As time passes, Lidya apparently fell for the suspect and agreed to meet in person.
Afterward, the suspect began frequently asking for nude pictures and videos from the victim. At first, Lidya agreed and sent the photos and videos.
However, after things went on long enough, she felt guilty for sending the pics and videos. This was because she was married and already had two kids.
According to reports from ABS-CBN, this was the reason the suspect began to blackmail Lidya. He sent the videos and pictures to her friends.
When the suspect was arrested, he didn’t deny the claims against him. He even admitted that he also asked the victim for money.
The suspect has already been filed with the anti photo and video voyeurism charges. This is an act that penalizes the crime of photo and video voyeurism.
