LOLIT SOLIS – Netizens reacted to Lolit Solis’ Instagram post about President Rodrigo Duterte’s visit to Russia with Filipino celebrities.
Recently, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte went to Russia for his 5-day meeting with Russian officials including President Vladimir Putin. In a previous article, Putin vowed to support the Filipino politician on his fight against terror attacks.
The 74-year-old politician had to hurry home upon arriving after receiving the news that his youngest daughter Veronica “Kitty” Duterte contracted the mosquito-borne disease. He said his daughter is now on the “safe level.”
Several celebrities joined President Rodrigo Duterte’s latest trip to Moscow. They are actors Cesar Montano, Philip Salvador, comedian Moymoy Palaboy, and controversial lawyer Larry Gadon.
Lots of netizens wondered if the Philippine government shouldered the expenses of the celebrities who joined the state visit of the president. Malacañang spokesperson Salvador Panelo clarified that the stars paid for their own travel.
Veteran columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis gave her honest opinion about the celebrities who joined Duterte’s trip to Russia on her Instagram account. She said it’s unfair that the people already criticize those celebrities considering there’s no proof that they’re using the Filipino people’s money. She hoped that people should give those stars a chance to explain before throwing harsh words.
“Huwag tayong maging harsh sa paghusga, maging fair tayo,” said Lolit.
