Vice Ganda mentioned wrong name in TNT Huling Tapatan, he says sorry and explains
It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda unintentionally mentioned the wrong name during the Friday episode of Tawag ng Tanghalan Huling Tapatan and he apologized for it.
One of the popular segments in the Kapamilya noontime show is TNT. It has become a venue for aspiring singers to showcase their talent and those who hope to have a spot in the Philippine misic industry.
As the semifinal round has started, the competition intensifies. Fans are also more intense now in supoorting their favorite contestant. During the September 27 episode, a surprising thing happened which added tension to the segment.
Vice Ganda, as one of the main hosts of the show, was supposed to announce the Top 6 after all the performance of the contestants. However, the prompter in front of him stated a different thing from what was written in the envelope that he was holding. “I was just reading the prompter. Not my mistake. Sorry still,” the comedian-host said on his tweet after the show.
He also explained what happened. “The prompter says announce 7’th and 8’th placer pero ang inabot sakin na envelope has the names of the contestants na pasok sa top 6. So ayun na steve harvey ako,” he shared. Because of that, he called out the name of Rafaello but he is not included in the Top 6.
In line with what happened, netizens have various reactions. Some said that the unkabogable star does not need to apologize while there are those who criticizes the staff of the show for creating that kind of confusion.
