DepEd Cancels Classes For 27th Nat’l Family Week

DEPED – In celebration of the 27th National Family Week Celebration, the Department of Education (DepEd) suspended classes on 3 PM Monday.

Earlier, the Civil Service Commission recently announced the celebration of the 27th National Family Week Celebration led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

In the announcement, government agencies are urged by the National Committee on the Filipino Family (NCFF) will allow their employees to go home at 2:00 PM on Monday in order to urge them to spend their mealtime with their families.

This is part of the celebration to observe the “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day”.

According to a report from GMA News, the Education department recently ordered all DepEd offices and public schools to ring their bells at 12 PM.

Education secretary Leonor Briones posted the memorandum on Facebook. In the memo, they echoed what CSC said regarding the ringing of bells as a symbol of nationwide awareness and commitment to commemorate the unity of Filipino families.

As per the report, they ordered the said offices and public schools to suspend classes at 3PM Monday.
