Vico Sotto To Equip Traffic Enforcers With Body Cams
VICO SOTTO – Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto recently equipped at about 190 traffic enforcers with body cameras.
According to GMA News, this was in order to prevent incidents of extortion and abuse, especially from their traffic enforcers and “Blue Boys”.
In Sotto‘s post, he started with a series of questions regarding instances of “Blue Boys” or traffic enforcers who are allegedly abusing the law, extort or simply lazy while the intersection is having a traffic jam.
Vico then said their deployment of 190 traffic enforcers equipped with body cameras will be able to minimize the issue, further adding that he might possibly add more.
As per the report, he revealed that the re-training and training of traffic officers will still continue and the violators will be filed against.
He lastly thanked to those who are with him in their operation, further assuring them that he will protect them if they are doing the right thing.
