PAGASA – Tropical Depression Nimfa To Move West Over Philippine Sea

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that tropical depression Nimfa moves west over the northern part of the Philippine sea.

The bureau further said in their 11 AM bulletin said that Nimfa was last seen at about 715 kilometers east of the town of Basco, Batanes as opposed to its previous distance of 785 kilometers east of the same town.

According to a post in Inquirer, the weather disturbance is packed with maximum sustained winds of about 55 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour.

The following areas will face frequent light to moderate with chances of heavy rain:

  • Region
    • Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)
  • Provinces
    • Cagayan
    • Zambales
    • Bataan
    • Mindoro Occidental

As per the report, the capital Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the Philippines will face occasional light to moderate rain with instances of heavy rains during thunderstorms.

Tropical depression Nimfa is expected to leave the country’s Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday (September 21).
