Class Suspensions Declared In These Areas on Friday (September 13)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions due to the effects of Tropical Depression Marilyn.
Over the past few days, the combined effects of the southwest monsoon and Tropical Depression Marilyn affect the weather condition over some parts of the country. TD Marilyn enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday (September 12).
The enhanced Habagat and Marilyn bring heavy rains and strong winds in several areas prompting some local government units as well as private and public schools to declare the cancellation of classes.
On Friday (September 13, 2019), class suspensions have been declared in several areas due to the inclement weather condition caused by the Tropical Depression Marilyn.
The class cancellations have been done to ensure the safety of the students from any possible risk caused by Tropical Depression Marilyn as well as preventing them from travelling amidst heavy downpour.
Here is the list of areas covered by the cancellation of classes:
- Diffun, Quirino
- Saguday, Quirino
- Zamboanga City
