Driver of Former Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino Died Following Ambush

FORMER PANGASINAN GOVERNOR – The driver of ex-Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino Jr. died after an ambush.

Nowadays, a lot of unexpected and saddening incidents happen in the different areas in the Philippines. These incidents leave behind different angles that require a thorough investigation for the identification of the people responsible for it.

In Pangasinan, a lot of people were left shocked and heartbroken following an incident that targeted an ex-governor of the province – Representative Amado Espino Jr. He was with his security escorts and driver when the attack happened.

It was late Wednesday afternoon when still unidentified suspects lodged their motive towards the convoy of Espino. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the suspects were aboard two(2) vehicles.

Ex-Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino Jr. and his men and driver were wounded by the incident. One of his security escorts, PO3 Richard Esguerra, died on the spot.

Currently, former Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino Jr. is in a stable condition now. However, his driver, Agapito Quizon, did not survive. Based on the report, he died a day after the ambush while he was treated.

The death of Espino’s driver was confirmed by Pangasinan Police Chief Redrico Maranan. Quizon obtained multiple wounds from the incident but he managed to bring the ex-Pangasinan Governor to the hospital.

Currently, the investigation regarding the incident is still ongoing. A special investigation task group was formed to lodge a probe on the incident. Condolences to the family of PO3 Richard Esguerra and Agapito Quizon.
